UR SuperModels Officially Named Partner for AIDS Foundation, Design For the Cure-2010

August 2010- Officially released- UR SuperModels named event partner with the AIDS FOUNDATION Junior Board annual fashion event, Make a Statement: "Design 4 the Cure" scheduled for October 21, 2010 in Chicago. Produced with some of Chicago's trendiest fashion designers and boutiques, URSM is thrilled to be included for a 2nd year!

Last year's event included guest emcee Jack Mackenroth of Project Runway, and Chicago designer Heidi Hess.

This year's lineup includes the following partnering designers:

UR SuperModels WINS Design Competition with Designer FRALEY LE, hosted by renown Nena Ivon

June 2010- UR SuperModels provided Fashion Division Models, Yelena & Gina, plus Print model Jessica Meyer (model we sent to walk in Dubai Fashion Fiesta 2009-as their FIRST AMERICAN MODEL), to the "Rock the Runway," fashion exhibit produced by highly noted Nena Ivon,
quoted from the News Dispatch:

"Master of Ceremonies Nena Ivon, a legend who spent half a century as fashion director for Saks Fifth Avenue in Chicago, introduced the outfits and their designers."

Modeling for Chicago designer, Fraley Le, who has an exuberant future in fashion, was quite an honor for the ladies. Student designers displayed from Michigan City, Chicago, and Michigan. Held at the Lubeznik Center, it was a first time for anything like this. Pleasant hosts of the bright yet soft gallery, greeted guests with warm smiles, champagne, fresh fruit, and pairing nibbles. The mood was intimate, and worry free. Nena, the pro that she is was quite entertaining when there was a glitch in sound stalling the event. Grace comes in humor and finesse, not only stern faced, and holding a notable seat.

UR SuperModels Yelena, was the chosen model to WIN the competition alongside chosen designer Frayle for his gorgeous gown that could be worn as a dream dress for women of all ages. UR model Yelena was photographed with the winning designer, Michigan city local media, celebrity judges, Nena Ivon, and of course Frayle himself. Frayle not only was very pleased with being chosen for his design, but was quoted as saying our models were so nice, easy to work with, and our artistic director & ceo/founder, Asha Spacek was probably one of the nicest people he has ever worked with in the fashion industry. Le added she knew the perfect models to fit my collection. He has toured NY, Chicago, ad international markets as an emerging designer, but most as a budding artist. He has much support from his former instructor at IADT Chicago. Frayle was referred to URSM by another amazing Chicago designer (and Richard Driehaus Award Winner) Hector Javier-Monarrez, by which our model Jen-Yi is currently FACE model.

June, 2010 No offense, but this is like old school journalism- a FULL story with details, supporting opinions, facts, a sprinkle of "water cooler gossip," and even a truthful and updated photo- oh boy!

Thank you so much to Chicago Sun Times writer, Sue Ontiveros who really took the time to give all the hardcore facts about the Sheanetics program. Ontiveros experienced a class, studied the CD/DVD set, and revealed the true emotion and feelings of some of Shea's ongoing students. Not JUST your expected stay at home moms, but pro athletes (golfers, b-ballers, even NFL players and wives) verify how this revolutionary program has either changed their lives, or enhances their physical conditioning.

And not just the pros, but novice, injured, and older persons enjoy strengthening their tri- core bodies using Sheanetics, taught by Shea Vaughn (not just mother to actor Vince Vaughn), but UR SuperModels emerging Health/Wellness Spokes Model. Paying attention to the importance of story return to the person being written about, Sue was conscience to include where Shea teaches, a link to her website, as well as a genuine compliment.

URSM Print Model Alexandra Rubio- ANOTHER COVER NAILED

As FACE Model, print model Alexandra Rubio nabs another fab magazine COVER for Fashion Chicago Magazine!

Not so easy for models to get covers, Alex is consistently pleasing the eye of the publisher, and scheduled with coming appearances while still under contract. The first is in partnership with Smashbox Cosmetics scheduled for mid June. Usually featured in color to bring out her gorgeous complexion, she actually pulls off an edgy black pinstripe, but still manages to look effortlessly graceful and beautiful. Great Job, Alexandra!

The June issue is scheduled to be up any day now due to technical difficulties. The issue has a stellar record (although still growing and learning) to be posted up on the first of each issue month. That's how you build a great rep with readers ;)
